The RAMMY Awards, known as the “Oscars of Washington DC area restaurants”, recognize and award excellence and achievement in the Washington DC Metropolitan restaurant industry. The RAMMY Awards will be held June 24, 2012 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

The RAMMY Awards hosted by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington is right around the corner. To celebrate the festivities Washingtonian’s can drink for a chance to win two tickets to the gala!
From May 18 to June 18 the “Beverage/Mixology Program of the Year” RAMMY nominees will host a month-long cocktail promotion. DC favs Bourbon Steak, ChurchKey, EatGoodFood Group, Estadio and Room 11 will serve creative cocktails at their restaurants and all you have to do to win is fill out an information card for each RAMMY drink purchase.

Former DC Mayor Anthony A. Williams Receives the 2012 Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is excited to announce this year’s recipient of the Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award, former Mayor of the District of Columbia, Anthony A. Williams.
The Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award was presented this evening at The Hamilton in downtown Washington, DC. Introduced by Councilman Jack Evans, a longstanding supporter of RAMW, was former Mayor Williams, whom held two-terms as Mayor from 1999 to 2007 and remains one of Washington’s most beloved mayors and influential citizens. During his tenure, Mayor Williams laid the ground work for the economic vitality that we have in Washington today while understanding that restaurants were to play a major part in the resurgence of the region. Hundreds of the Washington, DC metropolitan area’s top restaurateurs, chefs and key restaurant industry players gathered tonight as the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) announced the nominees for its annual RAMMY Awards. This evening’s Nomination Party, hosted at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC, is a highly anticipated yearly event, second only to the Restaurant Awards Gala, The RAMMYS, to be held on June 24, 2012 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
